This painting was created as a preliminary study for a larger painting.  The simplicity of the figure and ground allows for a focus on color relationships and shapes within the composition.  Oil pastel was used for the vibrant line-work.  Oil pastel and oil paint on masonite, 12.25" x 9.25".
