The negative shapes and white paper within the artwork reveal the cacti, rocks, and plants that grow amidst the gestural brushstrokes. The neutral and green colors are soothing and the white space allows rooms for the viewer to breathe and find calm within the painting.

The painting is 30” x 22”, Oil on paper. Arches Oil Paper is archival and makes for a unique painting surface with a beautiful deckled edge, which can be highlighted in the framing process. This painting is currently matted and framed- it includes a 1.25” sand colored matte to complement the hues in the painting, and a mushroom-grey-brown simple wood frame.
