“Entwined (Two Figures With Rope)” depicts a fleshy and tender pink body leaning into the shoulder of a comforting and ethereal blue figure.  The figures can be interpreted on many levels, one of which being metaphorically rather than literally, with the blue figure representing that which heals and comforts in a time of hardship. Another viewpoint is that the blue figure is leaving, or has already gone. The twisting ropes represent periods of absence and presence in a lifetime; divergent ropes eventually return to a close union, depicted by the knots that keep them bound together.
