This framed original 14” x 11” watercolor painting was created by taking an abstracted look at a desert landscape. The characteristic red rock cliffs of the Mountain West can be seen in the silhouette presented against the blue of the sky. The shape of the sky and field are abstracted to create the feeling of glimpsing into a smaller world- glancing inside a portal to another place. No masking fluid was used in the creation of this work- instead, the negative shapes are carefully painted around to preserve the white of the paper.

The painting is currently framed in a light grey/brown wooden frame.
